Funny aside that has nothing to do with this, for SOME reason "asshat" is in the urban dictionary. So clearly someone uses it. I'm pretty sure none of Dirks (and I'm being very charitable here) "insults" would qualify. Meaning that Dirk is probably thinking these would be funny insults to use in an actual social situation.
