We very well could see something like that someday. Tong Po is the stuff nightmares are made of...but I'm afraid he's too old to make the transition from b-movie kickboxing to professional boxing...so we may have to wait a while.
Will there ever be a chinese heavyweight champion?

Race has nothing to do with boxing ability. What's important is training, will to succeed, diet, training, etc.
There's a very good chance of there being a Chinese heavyweight champion, now that boxing is becoming more popular in that country.Comment

Race does have a lot to do with it. The Chinese are typically of a different build to males in the parts of the world that have typically produced heavyweight fighters. Their typical body types just are not consistent with what it takes to be a successful heavy.Comment

Isn't it ironic. The only full-blooded Chinese players that have played in the NBA are all 7 footers and taller. Currently, the World's tallest man is Chinese. I don't think the problem is not having enough big Chinese guys, it's more that boxing really ain' that popular in China.Comment

I'd put Jet Li in the ring at let's say 147 and match him up with Floyd. Should be a good speed match-up. I think Jet would get sick of all the punching and do some jump spinning back kick and knock him the **** out though lol.Comment
