Will there ever be a chinese heavyweight champion?

I know Chinese people usually compete in lower weight classes. But I would like to see some Asian heavyweights take the stage for a change. Americans and Europena's have dominated the heavyweight division for years. I would like to see a fictional type of character, like a Bolo Yeung or even a Tong Po become the heavyweight champion. It would at least bring some excitement back to the heavyweight division. Not to sound racist, but most Chinese people are small people. Yao ming is an rare exception.

There was a Chinese heavy who fought in the Olympic final against Cammarelle.

I don't think that is racist since statistics would validate that point. Eventually there will be Asian heavyweights though.

If we want to use as broad of a term as ever then yes...unless boxing is outlawed I am sure one day there will be a chinese heavyweight champion...just none in the foreseeable future.

Bolo Yeung was a former Hong Kong bodybuilding champion.Just because he "looked" the part, doesn't mean he would be any good as a professional fighter.

There is a difference you know..

I agree uppercut, but I want a vicious type of Asian to take over. Like a Tong Po or something like that
