You have to use logic. Names are looking for big names and big names are looking for bigger ones. So Kessler has to seek those who no one wants to fight.

Everyone would LOVE to fight Taylor because he's shown weakness. Taylor's gonna wanna get paid for his trouble, which Kessler can't do. Bottom line, he needs to fight those who can't get fights - Glen Johnson, Chad Dawson, etc. There are more.

Kessler can sit back and hope a Taylor chooses him or he can be proactive and MAKE these guys fighting him by fighting every respectable name he can so others have to take notice. The choice is up to him.
      Pretty good analysis.

Which probably leaves Kessler with either fighting Dawson (who I doubt will fight Kessler) or fight another from the pathetic WBA rankings. Perhaps he can lure Miranda into a fight? I know that fight will be big in Denmark and might give a little wave in the US.

Chad Dawson will absolutely take that fight, albeit at 175. Why not? The only person who would fight him is Roy Jones Jr and that's only if he gets past Calzaghe and if he really chooses not to fight Hopkins. Speaking of the "Executioner" he told reporters yesterday that he has NO intention of fighting Chad Dawson and has "bigger fish to fry." I guess everyone's a b*tch, eh? .

So yes, that's a fight for Kessler and one Dawson would jump at. Who else is there for him to fight, Glen Johnson? There's another name Kessler could look at. But if it's that or the WBA mandatory, I fear what his team will take.

As for Miranda...I mean, I guess it's better than Haussler but not a win people are gonna jump up and down at.

I am a big fan of both guys but I don't think Kessler does very well in there against Dawson at 175. I am picking Dawson to win that fight by decision every time.

That's a big deal if he really said that, can you cite where it's from please?

He's also listed all the guys who simply will not face him pretty much as well. Calzaghe he has mentioned wanting a rematch with but obviously isn't going to happen, he's on his last fight and won clearly, would again. Pavlik didn't respond to Kessler saying he'd face him if Joe didn't, and will be at MW now for some time given his beating last weekend and them only blaming weight. RJJ simply would not be interested I don't think. If he beats Joe why beat a lesser name guy whom Joe beat already. If he wins, why fight a guy with less money and name than Hopkins? As for Hopkins he's clearly said he'll most likely only face RJJ/Calzaghe winner and even ruled out Dawson, so as if Kessler stands a chance.

I know Kessler has talked about fighting a couple/few of these and fair play, some more seriously than others, but I'd be very intrigued as to him actually providing a few names in succession like this. Shows how naive he is to the current boxing scene when he lists all the guys whom are extremely unlikely to face him.

Regarding Dawson I'd say this: If Dawson want's a challenge next time out and RJJ/Calzaghe likely out of the picture, 3 fighters come to mind:

              1: Glen Johnson
              2: Adrian Diaconu
              3: Kessler

Diaconu would be the fairest fight in a sporting sense since he was avoided (dare I say ducked?) for Tarver.

If he then is to chose between Johnson and Kessler he'd likely take the fight that gives him the biggest purse which would be Johnson IMO.

But I hope you're right that Dawson would consider Kessler

It's from a danish tabloid (ekstra bladet).

Why would Johnson give him a bigger purse? Absolutely not. And if it did, it would be pretty negligible considering the risk.

But let's get back to KESSLER...this is what he can do...he can fight Johnson too! Let's see what HE does.

I think a Johnson fight generates a bigger revenue in the US. Don't you agree?

I doubt that Kessler want's to fight Johnson to be honest. If Kessler want's to try his luck at 175 lbs it'll probably only be for one (title)fight.

Another option could be Bute if he defeats Andrade. Do you think that'll sell in the US?

Johnson doesn't generate much of anything, sad to say. He's not a big name. He's a guy you don't fight unless you have to.

As for Bute, no it won't sell. Even less people know who he is over here than Kessler.

Which then leaves Kessler at the mercy of team Taylor and team dawson.
