Yeah. If he improved his stamina, and didn't stop using his jab all of a sudden, he would be a very dangerous fighter.

I think him and Kessler is a toss up.

Jermain should win this, although i dont really understand the move to SMW to be honest.
Jermain couldn't make the 160 limit anymore. Aside from that losing to Pavlik twice, it doesn't really help him to move his way up and fight him again, at least not until both fighters have recovered from their losses. I'm hoping Taylor will become a force in the SMW division. He's every bit as honest and charasmatic as he was when he became undisputed middleweight champion. He's one of the few guys of this generation left out there that stays grounded

      Taylor by UD or KO

If he hasn't improved his stamina then I think Kessler beats him but it would be a tough fight to pick if Taylor has actually improved his stamina and workrate. I think we'll see his jab come back full force in this fight, we'll see though, it's only a month away.

Jermain Taylor is a great guy and he's great for the sport. I really hope he does well. I like them both, but Jermain is my boy. I gotta go with him no this one.

Yep, if he hasn't improved his stamina Kessler will win a decision.

I can't wait for this fight.

Pat Burns, Taylor's trainer through most of his career up through the two Hopkins fights, frequently had Jermain spar 15 rounds in camp; 3 parters for 5 rounds each, so he was always facing a fresh fighter. Emmanuel Steward blamed this training method for Taylor's bad habits of taking breaks and resting on the ropes later in fights, saying he'd learned them as ways to cope with Burns' training regimen.

12 rounds a day is a lot, but should be good for him assuming they cut back the week prior to the fight. Plus I think not cutting as much weight to make 160 any more should improve his stamina as well. Jermain is a guy who walks around looking like a defensive back at 6'1", 180-190 lbs of muscle so he wasn't just dehydrating prior to his MW fights, he was having to cut muscle as well.

You always hear good things out of training camps, but I hope they're being real about improving his defense, stamina, and using his left hand more. Perfecting those things would make him virtually unstoppable.

                  Jermain should destroy him.
