Besides, he wanted to beat the man who beat Roy instead and is now looking to wait for Roy to generate the kind of money they both deserve to make for their final megafight.
you dont come out and say the fight will be 50/50...

but AFTER your company take 25% first.... uh no.

If they wanted to do it that way

      then its GBP: 12.5%
      Square Ring: 12.5%

      Roy: 37.5%
      Bernard: 37.5%

Hopkins ducked the initial fight against Calzaghe.

Calzaghe has pretty much maintained that he'd be retiring after Jones. I think only Pavlik (who's value would've sky rocketed had he beat Bernard) would have kept him around for 1 more fight.

          How.

Roy is the name. Roy is giving Joe the biggest payday of his life. Joe should thank Roy for getting 50%.

Jones promotes himself as well so what he's saying is that Hops/GBP takes 50 and Jones/Square Ring take 50.

Really, it's not hard to comprehend.

"60/40 I kick yo ass" - Roy Jones. Jones was closer to being unbeatable in his prime than any fighter i've seen. Jermain beat hopkins when he wasn't very far from his "prime". After beating one fighter, as impressive as it was, he is being a little bit overrated on here.

Joe beat Hopkins when he still had a lot left in his tank (proven by hops last fight). In the rematch, the decision will be even bigger cuz Joe won't be caught with the right hand that put him down in the first. Also, it was far from Joe's best performance that night. In his prime hops might have pulled out the victory, but not now. The only fight that I think would have definately beat Joe prime for prime was Jones, all the rest are question marks. I even think past prime Jones has a big chance at beating Joe.

I don't see what's wrong with both companies getting half the 25%. Square Ring promotions isn't quite on par with what GBP will do for their fight, but that's something that could have possibly been worked out. But who cares, if Roy is good enough to beat Calzaghe and hang in with Hopkins, then the fight will be made. UNLESS ROY WANTS TO DUCK HIM SOME MORE THAT IS!!
