Marciano and sadly...I might have to throw in Pep. It is said that he is the greatest defensive fighter in boxing yet there is NO video that can prove it. I can say he was GREAT from the few videos I've seen but not Greatest defensive fighter

better resume? in my opinion, yes, but it's a moot point. there's no way to definitively say, "ali fought better competition than ray leonard." but to say ali was overrated... c'mon now. people say that **** just so they can feel like they know more about boxing than the average sports fan.

was he perfect? no chance. was he beatable? clearly- just look at his record. was he the greatest heavyweight of all time? there's little doubt in my mind.

I saw Pernell Whitaker fight. And I have seen most of Ali's fights. Pernell Whitaker is a better fighter than Ali.
