The Marines thing was after the Golota fiascos...

How about... Meldrick Taylor fighting a ****ing war with Chavez in their first fight when he could have probably outboxed him with his athleticism?

His body shut down from that fight.

Golotta beat the **** out of Bowe in a one sided fight, ****ing Lennox Lewis would have ko'd Bowe in the first round.

Taylor probably should've done some more in-and-out movement. He was doing that with some success in their fight.

Then again, Chavez was excellent at cutting off the ring, and Taylor was very good on the inside and outworking Chavez.

Newman's decision to reject the Lewis fight and try to look for easy HBO paydays backfired on them. That was the plan I think, to milk HBO for big paydays against soft opposition. Dokes, Ferguson, and a supposedly easy rematch with Holyfield (Bowe was 11 lbs. flabbier, indicating he took it easy in camp).

We can only speculate on Bowe's desire, but I think Bowe would've gotten in better shape for a Lewis fight in 1993. Not sure who would've won. Lewis wasn't as polished then and made more mistakes (poor balance), but Bowe's defense was leaky and he didn't face many punchers (and struggled when he did).

              i'll get the ball rolling...

Zab Judah not staying at junior welterweight

Roy Jones immediately moving down and fighting at light heavyweight after winning the heavyweight title

Mike Tyson firing Kevin Rooney and letting don king/robin givens manipulate and distract him

              Kelly Pavlik fighting Bernard Hopkins

Muhammed Ali - this isnt really career but i think fighting an extended time hurt him outside the ring unfortunately

Fernando Vargas taking steroids and fighting tito and oscar too soon
The RJJ I was gonna say but you got it.
Tito moving up to 160...he would have been much more succesful had he stay at 147/154...I'm 100% sure Tito would have beaten the crap out of everyone there...BAD chose for Tito.
I was gonna say the Zab one but you got that also.

Pretty sure he was contractually obligated to give Williams a rematch.

****... that might top the list, considering he gave up an immediate Pacquiao rematch that would have served him very well, instead of losing or getting robbed (I've heard both) in Indonesia.
