Triangle theories do suck most of the time, but come on -- Calzaghe would humiliate Pavlik and everyone knows that. As far as I'm concerned, Taylor beat him in the rematch. I had him ahead by 1 or 2 points. Pavlik was simply out-boxed by Jermain. He also revealed several flaws in Pavlik which did Bernard a favor.

I think it is valuable to look at mutual opponents and make comparisons but not absolutely decisive. I thought the bout would be insightful to see if Pavlik could beat Hopkins more decisively than Calzaghe and obviously to the contrary he lost. That seems to indicate Calzaghe would possibly defeat Pavlik. However, humiliate and everyone knows is more assumption than fact.

Your assessment of Pavlik Taylor however is dubious. In fact I never heard anyone say that before. Just look at their body language after the fight. Taylor knew he had lost, was looking dejectedly at the ground.
