I think it might have worsened his stamina, but I think he would still have the same speed and all that clinching would still make him tired. Who knows.
I don't want to take away from Calzaghe's performance though and so we'll just say no, it does not.Comment

Outside of the first round knockdown, which was proceeded by 11 rounds in which Calzaghe usually got the better of the action, nothing suggests that Hopkins would KO Calzaghe in a rematch. Other than being a fan of the fighter.
Calzaghe won't fight him because all of the obstructions towards him taking the money fights he wants have been cleared. Hopkins beat up Pavlik so Pavlik is out, Calzaghe already beat Hopkins so he gains nothing from a second fight but risks everything.
If Hopkins would KO Calzaghe in a rematch, why didn't he do it the first time around?Comment
