No, and I never really wanted to see that fight. I always wanted to see Pavlik-Abraham instead.

Yeah Palvik vs Slapzaghe should be happen, because Slapzaghe is not like Hopkins who keep moving around and take his timing to throw a punch. Slapzaghe is a straight forward fighter who love to keep coming forward to box his opponent. Bhop love to clinch and hug, while Slapzaghe is not.

Yes, Calzaghe is similar in that he's very good at spoiling just like Hopkins. I think he would be able to easily do it to Pavlik as well. Everyone underestimates that about Calzaghe but that is one of his best traits and Pavlik has now shown that against someone who is an experienced spoiler he can't change it up and adapt. He was saying afterwards (Pavlik) that he didn't know what happened, but it just wasn't himself in there, which is what happens when you fight a guy that spoils you. Suddenly, it is not you fighting at all and you're fighting like you never have before and wondering why.

I was never that interested in it in the first place. Whether he won or lost he would have had the same things said about him as he did after Lacy, Kessler and Hopkins. Now though, it would be even worse. If he won people would say "Well, who cares? Pavlik was not good against someone who had good spoiling skills and movement and angles and was over-hyped anyway", whereas if he lost everyone would say "Calzaghe was always **** anyway. Lacy was hyped. Kessler never beat anyone and Hopkins was old. Pavlik got owned by Hopkins and Joe still couldn't even beat him". No win situation for him. He's also starting to look pretty bad compared to his fights from five or so years ago, which is another reason I would like to see him actually go through with his promise to retire after the Jones fight.

I'd much prefer that Pavlik just go after the guy in his division like Abraham, Wright etc.

            Pavlik vs Hopkins?

After Saturday's performance, Pavlik got beat to the punch, got beat on workrate and speed by a 43 year old Hopkins.

How the hell will Pavlik deal with Joe Calzaghe? higher workrate, he's faster and also a southpaw which will make things even more difficult for Pavlik.

If Kessler couldn't do it, Pavlik certainly won't.

Pavlik is a really ****ty version of Kessler...(pavliks still a good fighter but a ****ty version of Kessler in my opinion) Calzaghe and the fans don't need to waste there time on this fight.

Wanted Calzaghe/Pavlik when Pavlik had his 0 so Calz could expose him. Too late for that one.
