B-Hop vs Tommy Hearns at prime Middle, who wins?

Seeing how power punchers got nothing against B-Hop, how would Tommy Hearns do against Bernard? Prime for prime at Middleweight who wins and how?

Hearns was very chinny, I wonder if B-Hop could exploit that and stop him.

Hearns UD. Tommy had awesome power but Bernard got good defense and great chin.

It's a very close fight where it's pretty back and forth until Hopkins stops him in the 10th.

this is quite a matchup that I was thinking of recently too. Hearns had amazing boxing ability, and more than enough power to keep Hopkins defensive minded.

on the other hand...its Bernard. I can easily see him pulling out something like Barkley did on Hearns, even though he didnt have the power that Barkley did. plus his body work and excellent infighting ability could very well break down Hearns as the fight went on.

so I would overall favor Hopkins more, but Hearns has a great chance too...kind of like a 65% chance of Hopkins winning.

Unless Hearns got caught, he'd outbox Hopkins on the outside and win a decision IMO.

Hearns isn't a one-dimensional "power puncher" like Tito or Pavlik, he's a great boxer who happens to have tremendous power. He actually has a tremendous left hook, so Bernard couldn't just step away to the right against him. I'd say Hearns by close decision based on workrate and clean punches, but I doubt he'd KO Hopkins.

At 160, Hopkins would beat Hearns every day of the week. Contrary to popular belief, Hearns was not solid enough at 160 to beat a fighter like Hopkins. At 6-1 Hopkins is as tall as Hearns and Hearns was knocked out by both Iran Barkley and Hagler at that weight. Hearns was nearly knocked out by James Kinchen and got away with a gift decision in that one. Hearns was awesome at 147 and great at 154. But at 160 he would never beat Hopkins. Hopkins by late KO.
