the young guy got taken to school by a wiley old vet.pavlik is not garbage you dont become the middleweight champ being trash..his so called fans are the ones making it bad for him with all these bull**** excuses some even saying the damn fight was fixed,or pulling the hatton excuse about the weight..these are the same people who said hopkins was old and shot before he pitched a shutout..but that being said pavlik took his L like a man so hell show the guy some respect

I think the L is good for him. I mean, Pavlik didn't fight like his usual, neither did Hopkins. I give Hopkins all the credit in the world for taking out the nay-sayers. He proved age doesn't mean a thing. You take a look at all the great champions that have ever come down through boxing, their first losses were usually were pretty bad. I'm not going to try and make excuses for Pavlik, but at the same time, I think people should still not underestimate him still. He really needs to work on fighting technical fighters now though, he's shown he doesn't do to well against them. I'm still behind Pavlik 100% and congratulations to Hopkins for beating another great fighter.

I agree.....give the kid a break. Kelly is STILL the man at 160 and I don't see nobody slick enough there to beat Mr. Youngstown

Don't think anyone is bashing Pavlik......I'ts just fact that all the "critics, writers, and reporters gave B-hop very little or No Chance at all. especially after his last outing with calzaghe, B-Hop was supposedly "outworked".

Pavlik is a good fighter who got taken to school,No need for people to hate on him.His fans made it worse because of all the **** they talked before the fight saying he was unstopable and he would KO Hopkins and then Calzaghe.
I like the guy he's definately got alot of heart and he's genuinely a nice guy rather than a pre-madonna!
Good luck to Pavlik for the future,he's the type of young and exciting fighter that boxing needs for the future.So what if he lost,aint no shame in losing to a vet.
