Am i the only one that thinks Pavlik wont come back the same fighter??

He just seemed out of it... He couldnt understand why Calzaghe and Taylor beat hopkins and he couldnt. That has to bring his confidence down.. i have a feeling thats always gonna be on the back of his mind. He was very very emotional as well. I think the main reason he took this fight (other than the money) Was so he could do better than Calzaghe espeacially cuase of there feud that was going on between them. When Pavlik starts reading the stuff Calzaghe is gonna say i think is gonna get to him too.

And then you got these so called "issues" they were speaking about... I think Hopkins ruined his carreer.

Hopkins schooled him and I just dont think he will come back the same.

I think he'll be aight especially since outside of Abraham there isn't any big threat at 160. I don't think Joe Greene's ready for Pavlik yet. He'll beat the **** outta Rubio and be back on track.

      It's the 'Triangle Theory', fighter A beats B, fighter B beats C but fighter C beats A.

Calzaghe v Pavlik would be a great close fight trust me. I thought Kessler v Calzaghe was close (I was actually there at Cardiff surrounded by a load of Welsh on my left and a Danish couple on my right) and thought it was very tight. I believe Pavlik would beat Kessler and also give Calzaghe complete hell.

As they say, styles make fights.

It's hard to say. We'll have to wait and see. I think he'll go back down and continue to dominate 160.

It depends. I could see it. Boxing is an emotionally fragile sport. It's hard to recover from total humiliations like this. Luckily he was not physically destroyed, but still. It's very hard after a thorough dismantling to come back even close to what you were.

One of the few guys who has done it is James toney.

He really looked emotional during the post fight interview. Pavlik reiterated/eluded to thoughts of Taylor and Calzaghes prior fights ("success" over Hopkins). If the anticipation of his fight with Hopkins was soley based on the previous...then we can except the fact that he stated he "didn't know what happened" .

I think he'll come back. It wasn't a physical beating, just a mental one, but one done by someone who is a true great of his era.

I did worry that the Pav camp were not taking this fight strongly enough. I don't think they'll ever have that mentality again.

I agree but the mental beating might have been worse then the physical beating... i feel kinda bad for him... But very happy for hopkins.

He used Kelly pavlik to cement his legacy.

I think he'll be OK. He's still the middlweight champion. His biggest concern is probably how much longer he can make 160. I don't think he has much time left at 160.
