    hopkins.

all i know is hopkins tried to get good fights but couldn't. let's just say floyd was in a better position to get fights and in deeper and more talented divisions and in fact more divisions.

160 wasn't that deep in hopkins' reign. there was tons of guys from 130-147 when floyd fought in those divisions.

i hate hopkins but...... i guess he's an OKAY fighter.

How does Mayweather go through weight classes and avoid fighters like Pacquiao, Marquez, Barrera, Morales, Cotto, Williams, and Margarito... And I'm missing any more big named fighters? I doubt any of them avoided mayweather... I think Mayweather avoided them.

Hahahahaha you do know that Pacquaio, Morales, Berrera and Marquez were never even in the same weight class as Mayweather. Floyd Left 130 in the beginning of 2002, Manny in 2002 was at 122, Morales was at 126, Marquez was at 126, Berrera was at 126. They did not enter 130 until years after 03 or 04.

At 130 and 135 Floyd was a huge risk while being an unknown fighter not a one of those dude would have went up in weight to fight him for little compensation. If Floyd did fight those guys people like you would talk about how Floyd was picking on smaller guys (which would be true).

As for the question at hand it is close B-Hop did a lot but middleweight was soft so I kind of prefer Floyd but B-Hop's career is great and I have no beef with anyone saying his resume is above Floyd's because I can see why people would think that

Mayweather constantly beat bigger men as he moved up. Hopkins picked on smaller men his whole career. The only big man he ever fought was Tarver. Everyone else was his size or smaller.

                Pavlik - smaller
                Wright - smaller
                Trinidad - smaller
                De La Hoya - smaller
Calzaghe - technically smaller since Hopkins was already a light heavyweight by their fight

IF only Floyd had the heart for the game like B-Hop does then he would be able to do to Margarito like Hopkins did with Pavlik. B-Hop takes fights where odds are stacked against him. Floyd needs to do the same.

Instant loss of credibility... Did you start watching boxing 2 months ago? How on earth could Mayweather have fought duck those 4 names in bold, and at what weight?
