Did you see Loew whisper in Kelly's ear that he needs to increase his output because "that's how Calzaghe beat Hopkins"? That comment just sealed it for me, on top of all the barking of useless instructions in between rounds to double up on his "f***ing" jab. As if that'd work. Jack Loew doesn't know what he's talking about. He treats Kelly like a school kid. Kelly should KO Jack Loew and find someone better. Maybe Enzo Calzaghe. LOL.
Now that, I DID hear. I thought it was REEDYCKYALOUS to say that. It CLEARLY was not "plan B", and those two fighters have COMPLETELY different styles and abilities.

    Jack Loew is an ********.

Loew isnt a bad trainer, he's just not an elite trainer. He's good at teaching the basics, but that can only get a fighter like Pavlik so far. It was more Pavliks, toughness, heart, and power that got him to where he is, not his training.

Steward would be a great trainer for Pavlik. He does well with Long lanky fighters.

Putting on an act like that is cheating.

I posted this on another messageboard board but this has to be the most unprepared I have ever seen a boxer for a fight. Pavlik and his camp didnt take hopkins serious and all the talk wasnt about strategy but how they were gonna knock b-hop out. After the first few minutes you could tell how unprepared pavlik was for this fight, and during the rounds his camp really had no answers on how to adjust.

After the 7th round you could see pavlik shout in fustration and when his corner was talking to him about his attacking hopkins he said "Im trying my best". I felt bad for this kid because his trainer and camp let him down big time. He looks like a level headed kid that could be molded unlike hamed and others who had great trainers but were just to arrogant to listen to them. I think I even saw pavlik cry after the fight and the interview afterwords he still didnt have an answer just that he knew he needed to learn something.

All I heard from Loew was double up on your jab and feint over and over and he offered no real strategy. FWIW I think to most telling thing of the fight was when hopkins went to talk to him and told he how he saw things pavlik was doing in camp and how he gameplanned for it. Hopkins basically gave pavlik in a few minutes more advice than pavliks camp gave him during his whole training session leading up to the fight.

Nah man, I heard it clear as a bell too. Even my girlfriend laughed at that comment and she doesn't even follow boxing.

The ref took a bull**** point off Hopkins too, to even things up.

              So..

Maybe i misheard, it was late here. I thought I did, and others say the same.

I'll have a listen when I rewatch the fight in a little while.

I was thinking the same thing when Bernard really started to get dominant in the fight. I thought does Kelly need somebody to take him to the next level? Last night though I don't think it would have mattered. Bernard schooled him in every which way. Im thinking he will stay with Loew just because Kelly seems like a guy that sticks with the people that have been loyal to him.

Doesn't matter if he was hurt by a rabbit punch or not.

If I kick you in the nuts and it doesn't hurt, would that make it right?

Props to Bernard for pointing it out and fighting a pretty damn clean fight. He didn't need to cheat, the fight was already won.

i think the pavlik camp should do what deontay wilders handlers are doing and bring in another trainer to supplement the camp. that's what finkel did in bringing in mark breland to aid in training deontay.
