Kessler was a great win as was lacy. I think if Calzaghe beats RJJ that would be his best win

You are quite delusional my friend

Hopkins was coming off two beating Tarver for LHW TITLE and stopping Winky unbeaten run

Lacy was nothing, look at his record who exaclty did he beat??

How would a shot RJJ be his best win

So you are saying Calzaghes performace against Hopkins was better than his performance against Lacy & Kessler?

Or am I just reading this whole thread wrong as I was under the assumption that you guys where saying that Calzaghes best win was against Hopkins but he didnt box anything like he did against Lacy & Kessler in that fight

Not performance brother?? Would say Mayweather best win would be over Gatti and Baldomir one sided boxing match or him over Corrales or Castillo, get my drift

Hopkins was the harder fight and he won barely

Why don’t you Calzaghe fans admit this? That Hopkins win was better than Kessler. Stop putting all your faith that Kessler turns out to be a superstar.

Repeat: Joe Calzaghe best win was over a 43 year old man who knocked him down and hurt him during their fight. Hopkins was has a strong case that he won the fight landed more proper punches than slaps. Hopkins was higher on the P4P when he fought Calzaghe than Kessler. He beat Tarver and Winky before the Calzaghe bout and Kessler beat no names. The Hopkins fight wat at 175 adding more that the debate win over Hopkins is his best win ever.

The Hopkins split decision win was Calzaghe's most impressive in terms of the actual name of the opponent he "beat" but the fight itself wasn't a great performance. Even Enzo Calzaghe, the father/trainer, thought Calzaghe had clearly lost the fight by round 12 because he told Joe the only way to win was by KO.
I never knew this; I knew he took the fight on a short notice not this short. Any evidence to back you up as the fight was ages ago

are we really taking Enzos motivational talk as proof he lost? Jesus.

Anyway I have Hopkins as his best win in terms of opposition. Not his toughest fight or best performance but best opponent.

Oh, and Heh @ Moby. Hate to say I told you so!

Because Kessler is going to surpass Hopkins in years to come? Right?
