The fact that he is 43 matters I suppose because of the number. But in reality in Hopkins's case, it doesn't because B-Hop is no regular 43 year old man.

So saying all that, Corrales got dominated by Mayweather. Did he not come back and become a great fighter, winning some big fights at lightweight???

Also what's witht the white referances. Are you some ignorant black guy who think in black and white and fails to see the gray areas?

I dont like to throw around the word exposed, but that's what happened here. Still like I said earlier, Tarver and Tito got done the same way, so it's not as bad for Pavlik.
he beat pavlik worse than tito and tarver imo

Pavlik was outclassed pure and simple. He's an honest fighter, predictable and hard working. Credit to him for taking his defeat lke a man and not crying about the weight. I have a lot of respect for Pavlik.

Btw, I'm not trying to defend Pavlik here and make excuses. I myself made a thread earlier called.........Pavlik got "Tarvered" tonight.

I just don't wanna hear little kids jumping on the "He got exposed, he is done" bandwagon. Fighters who aren't as slick and quick as Leonard, Ali, Jones lose and they lose alot. This is only Pavlik's first loss and it came against Hopkins.

How many fighters are there out there with Hopkins's style??? He knocked Taylor out and beat him back in the rematch. How many people are out there (at 160) who have more to offer then Taylor???

              CASE CLOSED.

Good example with the Corrales/Mayweather analogy actually. All it takes is one good win for Pavlik and people will be singing a different tune.

I remember getting laughed at for my KO predictions over Miranda and Taylor. You're only as good as your last fight in this business it seems.

He was exposed, to complete newb boxing fans.

Anyone with half a brain knew he stood a great chance at losing the fight outright to the more seasoned, more skilled, and just.....better fighter.

How was he the white hope????? They just treated him for what he was, a unbeaten, young middleweight champion.

Did he get the same HYPE that Taylor got from HBO during his contender days?? No.

Did he get the same hype that Miranda got after he broke Abraham's jaw, knocked out some guy in one round on HBO and defeated Allan Green on HBO again??? NO

People were hyping Miranda and he spoiled that hype and forced everybody acknowledge him for being a very good fighter after he came back from a knockdown to KO Taylor. Taylor was the favorite coming into that fight. So where is the hype.

COMMON NOW. Hype is when someone is being praised before accomplishing anything. He wasn't praised and only got some props after accomplishing something........and that's beating MIranda and taking Taylor's title all in the same year.

                    PERIOD.

Taking weight into consideration, the Tarver fight might be worse. I think Hops had more respect for Tarver though. He let go more against Pavlik than I've seen in years. He gave Taylor, Winky, Calzaghe, even ****ing Eastman more respect than he gave Pavlik.
