if Joe does win though, he should take up B-hop's offer and fight in Wales. It would look good for Joe beating a legend at home. But will look better for B-Hop if he wins.

I can't see Calzaghe taking another fight with Nard. If he did I couldn't see him losing, he admitted he under rated Hopkins, didn't train as hard as he could have, and had a bad performance adjusting to Hops. A combination of those things and he still won, it wouldn't get any worse for him in a re match.
For Nards sake I think he should take on Dawson or Jones. Dawson even if he looked good, schooled him for a third of the fight, would be damn impressive and he could well win. Jones I think he would, plus more of a personal revenge thing.

What does it matter if Calzaghe couldn't fight as well as that at 43, who else can? Most don't have the unique style Hops does to do what he does at that age. That's a desperate attempt at a moral victory using a largely irrelevant thing.
So first you say Hops woulda killed Joe a couple of years ago, convenient, now he's good all of a sudden again he'll beat him clearly now too you say? Jeez your deluded and contradicting yourself now.
He'll make it a bit more decisive this time, talking like he actually won and some foreign judges didn't give him the nodd or something. What do you mean especially if he went to England, how on earth does that help him?
Calzaghe will not face him again, he beat him once fair and square in a bad performance for him, there's no point in a rematch over then fuelling some wishful Hops fans deluded hope for him avenging it.
Oh so Hopkins had a really bad performance last time, was old. Last night he was miraculously ok, brilliant performance, totally different fighter? Right right yeh, convenient. How about this more explainable obvious thing. Hops couldn't and can't do what he did to Pavlik to Calzaghe, because Calzaghe is not the one dimensional, straight punching, bad movement and bad ring tactician Pavlik is. Calzaghe brought a better fight and game plan and enforced that pace and game plan on Hops, and would again. Pavlik cannot do that. Hence one a deserved win for Hops, one a deserved loss.
Nice confirmation of your complete delusion and lack of good judgement.
BUT.... you cant tell me that the HOP you watched last night was the same Hop that fought Joe and/or JT. HOP was more aggressive and took a lot of chances against a hard hitting fighter UNLIKE joe who slaped a 100 times around. Hop like he stated at the end of the fight is being "more aggressive" now and taking more chances and looking for the KO's.
One can ask why did Joe BARLEY, just barley win the fight. Because HOP was not active enough, not aggressive enough and played it too safe. UNLIKE his so called "new" way of going at it. I don't know what all he means just yet but he clearly stated he will "NO LONGER wear a seat belt and play it safe". That HOP last night was a different fighter, still old as hell. And to add, it was probably one of the cleanest fights for him in a long time. Class act and VERY humble. You euro's got a new perspective on him.
One things for sure, styles make fights (you know this) BUT my point is, Listen to the HBO commentary who have been watching him for years.... That aggressive Hop hasn't been around for a long time and IMO that Hop would beat Joe if they fought again. Joe knows deep down he was presented with a gift. Him and his father knew it. Joe "for the record" won, But it was gift wrapped with an ugly bow and he knows it. You know it. I mean come on it was in America, most Americans believe Hop did enough to win. If it were in Joe's back yard I would expect the same. It was a gift wrap victory. but "at the end of the day" it was the right gift....
Anyway Hop impressed me more than any fighter has in a while....... Much respect. Not taking away BUT I give no "extra" credit to JT or JC for there victories. B-Bop last night wasn't the same fighter that fought either of them. This "NEW" style (aggression) isn't how he's been fighting... He's still old like I have always said But his speed, aggression and just everything about him was NOT the same guy that fought JT, JC, WINKY, and even Tarver..... He looked like he got a "GIFT" himself and that was the fountain of youth.
I had a lot of people over for the fight and a few non boxing fans thought that Hop was 30ish...... He didn't show his age last night and he was more active in one round than he was the entire fight with Joe. you know that though. Lets see HOP and Jones II so they can retire as BAMF'in ATG's......

True they are not as good as they were, but they are still all better than pavlick and for that, they dont need to retire.
If you want to draw a inference from tonight the only thing that can be said is that Calzaghe was very lucky that Hopkins wasnt as physically prepared or motivated the night they met as he was against Pavlik last night.

That plus Hopkins corrected his work rate, reenergized his game and thats how he beat Pavlik. Just cause he could do it this way don't mean anyone else between 160,168 maybe even 175 could do it like that.

A fighter often looks better in a fight they hardly get hit, and win every single round hurting there opponent never looking like losing, compared with a SD where those things aren't true.
Joe Calzaghe prefers guys being aggressive and coming to him. This a basic widely known thing. Hence Hopkins wasn't and ultimately couldn't come forwards being aggressive as much with Joe as he could Kelly, whom is far more limited.
Hopkins has a supremely good boxing brain and he knows where his strengths and chances are. With Calzaghe he made it close by trying to avoid the pace, ruin Joe's boxing, keeping at distance or suddenly fighting close up on the inside, and not in between. Countering the many Calzaghe punches each of which presenting an opportunity. He did pretty well and made it damn close as a result, but ultimately Calzaghe was to resilient, quick, movement was better, boxing brain, feinting all of these things, which disable Hopkins looking as good as he could against Pavlik.
