Delusion may be an exaggeration I accept, but lots of people see things different at times, it doesn't make them right. 2 judges score cards were fairly comfortable in Calzaghes favour, whilst the one for Hopkins was by one point. All it would have taken was that one judge scoring one close round differently, i.e Nard landing one less shot, and you have a UD. So not only a decision as close to UD without being one, most even disagree with the one judge whom scored it by the narrowest of margins for Nard.
Most people do not think Hopkins won, especially most within the boxing world whom have no allegiances to either side. Most also feel a re match wouldn't be that different.
That's the overall view, and one can't change that. For a fair while after the win many said it wasn't a meaningful great win as Hopkins is shot. Now all of a sudden he's just become un shot, and more believe he'd win a re match. That's border line delusion and thinking he can perform against Calzaghe, in the same way he did a COMPLETELY different boxer, Pavlik.
