You can really see Bernard evolving in the Echols fight, I'm watching it again right now actually. As the fight goes on he starts to really evolve, he lands the right hand a lot better, he's allowing Echols to come forward at times so that he can play with him once he throws, etc....

That right hand in the 12th that nearly put Echols down was amazing. His feet came out from under him.

And I agree about the Tito fight, if I were shipwrecked on a desert island, that'd be one of the fights I'd have to take with me. (Though I don't know how the hell I could watch it having no electricity and all )

Remember when B-Hop went on that big rant after the first robert allen fight? that was cool...Nard is a great speaker.

are you watching the first or second echols fight? the first one was great too.

Lol. The Tito was so epic. Bernard just systematically took apart Tito. I love when Jim Lampley says Bernard Hopkins just won't take no for an answer. Bernard is all determination...Bernard was determined to be great.

Too bad I don't know who your favorite fighter is so that I could make a video that makes him look bad as well.
Don't have one. Actually I'm just a fan of Benny Hill and like the soundtrack. Plus I don't think Hopkins looks to bad in the vid, I sure as hell wouldn't want to try and hit him. But it's a vid that always seems to get a rise out of Hop fans.

Even haters have to respect what the guy's done in his career, and what he's able to do even at 43. Before this fight I was saying that Jones wouldn't have a chance against Hopkins, and I was a guy that bet on Jones to beat Calzaghe (liked the odds.)

I got ya. I still want to kill the guy who made that video though.

I'll have to download the entire fight sometime and get a good look at it. You remember what B-Hop was saying? I can't.

B-Hop was saying some anti establishment stuff. basically saying how boxing is crooked and how hes not getting paid what he should. I don't remember it all but it was entertaining. bernard might not have a great educational background, but I think hes a smart guy...bernard's no dope.

No doubt about that. He loses to Roy in terms of overall charm though. Roy could charm the panties off of a nun.

A good street education can damn near rival any Harvard grad in my opinion, it's just in a different way.

And Hopkins has some serious business savy. I don't look forward to his retirement, but I know he's going to make a hell of a promoter. Look at some of the outlandish **** he's done to promote some of his own fights.
