Doghouseboxing made a cartoon of the guys at 147 and 154 behind the door as Shane knocked.

Shane was so desperate he tried to fight Keyvelos but HBO said it was too much of a slaughter.

    I remember this all well..

    You don't.

Tony NEVER called-out an undefeated Shane because his request would have been granted immediatley.

Forrest was the only guy that stepped up.
Who said anything about being undefeated? This was when he wasn't undefeated.

Margs has power going for him but thats it. If Cotto stuck to his gameplan and continued to box his ears off nobody would even still be talking about this guy right now. I give him his props for handling his business against the #1 guy at 147 but i think its a bit early to think he cant be beat.
      There it is.

Shane loves it when you come straight in..

Tony can't fight backing up and Shane can't fight moving foreward.

      One thing is for sure.

Shane has been in with far better comp(bigger punchers and all) than Tony.

He's better on the inside..but...147 at his age is TOUGH.

154 is better suited for him because of his age.

          Ok..I misunderstood you.

I remember WELL Tony's wife/manager said he wasn't ready for Mosley.

Prime for prime Shane destroys Tony.

I don't think Margarito is an unstoppable force at all, but we should all get one thing straight: Cotto didn't not stick to his gameplan in their fight. It wasn't Cotto that all of the sudden decided to stop out-boxing Tony. Margarito broke him down and stopped him...he didn't allow Cotto to stick to his gameplan.

Can anyone at 147 beat Margarito? Of course, Paul Williams did it. But even the strongest P-Will supporter has to wonder what would happen in a rematch. Was it really Williams' superior skills that won the fight? Or just Tony's slow start?

Shane would have his moments in the fight, due to his speed advantage, but he no longer has this great stamina that many are talking about and I don't think he'd be able to move away successfully from Tony's pressure for a full 12-rounds.

Isn't it the other way around? Mosely said HE wasn't ready for Margarito...I believe it was after his fight with Jose Luis Cruz, on the undercard of Barrera-Peden.

Tony's wife ain't his manager by the way.

                MARGARITO IS TRASH!

people act like he's a legend...thats funny, he will never be an atg. His record is trash with only one big name on the list. Margarito will never be on Mosley, Mayweather, De La Hoya or Trinidad's level. Even if he's to fight them now and beat them, they are all past their prime and washed up already...except for Mayweather he's still young.

Berto is good and now that he has a belt its time to fight those considered to be at the top. His discipline, speed, power and youth will be the difference and why he would defeat Shane.

I like the guy, but I honestly don't understand some of his hardcore fans either. But to say the man is trash is messed up. He's fought whoever's been in front of him. He's lost a few, but he's also won the fights that mattered (except of course P-Will.) When he was finally put on the big-stage and was suppose to lose to the supposed "man" at welterweight, he TKO'd him. Gotta give the man props for that.

No way he's an ATG though, I agree with you on that one.

The slow start is just an excuse.

I can say Williams started too fast.

                      Same ****.

Bottom line..Paul won that 12th round..Tony couldn't dig deep enuff to seize it.Not bad for a young guy in his first Title fight.Williams has more experience now and is using his height and reach better.

Tony had to be forced into fighting him in the first place. The WBO threatened to strip him if he put off fighting Williams once more.

That says a lot being that the WBO is VERY lenient when it comes to manditories.

Margarito has accepted defeat and has moved in another direction.

He is willing to SHARE the division with Williams rather than take it over outright..which is what Williams wants to do.

Paul wants to be THE man.

Tony just wants to be A man.
