exactly, who wouldnt buy the fight after an undercard like THAT got signed? damn!

not to mention that if Marquez won, he would be 100% be considered the best fighter at Lightweight. He would get his Pacquiao rematch, and having Pacquiao and Marquez on the same exact card adds to that more than ever, and creates interest in the 3rd fight.
not to mention all the Pacquiao fans will recongnise Marquez and be more interested in the fight.

the most deciding factor would be if GBP would want to spend the money to make that happen. i doubt they want to add more to the budget.

question tho bro, if that were to happen, who would Nacho be training? Marquez's boss not only took his opponent, he also took his trainer

BlackIrish, you understand that before Casamayor, Marquez wanted to fight Campbell in November. But Campbell wanted the fight sooner so Casamayor was lined up for Marquez. I think Berstein knows the danger of Campbell so he wants a longer camp for Campbell. But in the end, had Campbell agreed to fight Marquez in November there'd be no post like this. Blame Campbell. How can Berstein train Delahoya and Marquez i dont' think it can happen. Campbell is to blame here not calling him chicken but its his fault the fight didnt' happen.

I dont understand this problem at all. theyre fighting on the same day, in the same place, on the same card. Just have them train together in the same training camp. easily done.

same thing as above, have De La Hoya and Marquez have the same training camp. its not like Beristain would have to miss out on the others' fight, hes going to be there anyway.

and how are you gonna blame Campbell when hes been calling people out forever. Casamyor avoided him in the first place, and Campbell had been calling out Marquez on that specific day since Marquez had his victory over Casamayor. not like hes saying this out of nowhere.

dont you think you're bein somewhat unfair in your assessment then? the marquez camp wanted the fight, campbell wanted to wait, now that marquez has got a belt in the division, he is asking for the fight and marquez is the one ducking now?

I like the fight but Diaz/Marquez could be it's own show and make MORE money than this one.
That's probably what's going on in the promoter's heads.

We don't always get the best match ups (like this one).
We get the fights they think will appeal to the casual fans.
And Diaz has a pretty good fan base and so does Marquez.

Campbell had wanted a fight with Marquez before the Casamayor fight, he wanted that specific date since Marquez made his Lightweight debut.

and understand that I dont actually think that Marquez is openly 'ducking' Campbell, but using words like ducking and fears is the only way to get peoples' attention on this site.
I think everyone would like to see Marquez vs Campbell on the De La Hoya-Pacquiao undercard, and theres no real reason why this fight shouldnt happen.

Its not like Marquez is taking an easy fight either so lets not make this into "JMM is taking an easy fight rather than face a live opponent". This dude is a freakin natural featherweight.
How so? Diaz doesnt punch anywhere near as hard as Campbell.
