I can honestly say that I would never quit. He would have to beat me unconscious or the ref would have to stop it. I don't know how good my chin is. In this case, having a bad chin would be good for my health because I would be spared the beating. One thing's for sure though, I would never quit. Quitting is just not in me. I'd never take a knee. I would not look to my corner with puppy dog eyes and crocodile tears, hoping they'd throw in the towel. That ain't me, man.
Let's say you're being dominated by Margarito, would you give up?

Are you a boxer?I can honestly say that I would never quit. He would have to beat me unconscious or the ref would have to stop it. I don't know how good my chin is. Have you boxed before?
Have you ever been in a professional boxing match against a top athlete?
Have you ever been in a grueling 11 round non-stop action pro fight before?
If you say no to any of these, STFUComment

If you dont even know if you have a got a good chin or not that probably means you have never been in a real fight. There for you dont know anything about what you would or would not do in a real fight.Comment

Nope. I'm basing it on my character, homie. quitting is a bad habit to break. anyone that gives up in the ring will have a tough time getting back into the right mindset. this applies even to us nonfighters and the challenges we face in our daily lives.Comment

Yeah, it's really annoying to hear **** like this. Simple fact is you do not know. These guys train their asses off for months and prepare for the fight. It's Mentally and Physically taxing on the body. 11 rounds (that's when Cotto "quit") is a VERY DIFFICULT THING TO DO, it's like running a marathon, you need to be in the absolute best of shape to do it, especially in a fight like cotto/margarito, where the body is constantly moving/punching, not to mention being punched in the body and head.
Most fans, that aren't boxers, couldn't last two full rounds. You will be exhausted.Comment

I would give up... clearly.
If I was tired as balls, throwing everything I had at this guy, and he was laughing at me, coming forward, and hurting me constantly... I would be wishing for death.
Honestly, I've never understood the "going out on your shield" argument... it just seems silly. What is the difference between going down to a knee in defeat without a punch being thrown or standing there, too tired to put your hands up to block and getting knocked unconscious by a shot that you can see, but can't block. Seriously, why is one better than the other?
I have a brain, so I would quit.Comment
