Chad Dawson vs Kelly Pavlik

It depends on how well Pavlik carries up his speed and power, right now I'd say Dawson but I could change my mind after this weekend.

It's too soon to predictin Pavlik victories against LHW fighters. We gotta see what he can do at 170 against B-Hop.

I would favor Chad's natural size and ability to carry him through to a win. However, if he does some of the same things he has been doing like taking time off during the fight and laying on the ropes, I will swing the advantage back to Pavlik.

Nobody should lay on the ropes against Pavlik. It is where he does his absolute best work.

I will not vote on this one as it is truly a tossup for me.

Big Bad Chad Dawson isn't as spectacular as everyone makes him out to be.
Pavlik is a simple fighter with tremendous power. He knows what he's supposed to do in the ring.

What are some of Chad's most impressive performances...someone give me a list.

A near shut-out of Tarver is one.
He looked sharp as hell in the Adamek fight. He made it look easy until he lost focus and was the victim of flash knockdown. However he got right back up and went to work.
Glen Johnson was a tough fight that he didn't lay down and die. He dug hard for the victory.

He's beating top level light heavyweight guys and with the exception of Glen Johnson. It hasn't been close.

As of right now at 175 I must go with the bigger man. I might change my opinion next summer.

Well Chad Dawson should win i would say he si naturally bigger, he is much faster throws more varied punches. He basically is a better all round fighter than Kelly Pavlik, but Kelly Pavlik puts the pressure on for 3 minutes of the round, and Chad Dawson doesn't like a fast pace and often looks to take rounds off, going into a shell and laying on the ropes taking punches.

Which would give Kelly Pavlik a chance to find Chad Dawson's suspect chin, its a close call i'll have to wait and see how Kelly Pavlik fares against Bernard Hopkins first.
