Haye caught Solis off balance, true, but then he got knocked down twice and TKOed in the end. Taylor probably got wins on points over Pavlik.... which is hardly a surprise. Pavlik needed more than 3 rounds to break down Taylor. Mexican fighters are a separate story.

Solis was rocked big not just caught of balance he walked into the uppercut, abeit Solis beat him in the end so it's irrelevant the ams are a different game to the pros. Harrison dominated the ams easily but got comprehensively beaten everytime he stepped up. Tyrell Biggs was a great am but an average Pro etc.

Why did Vitali deserve a shot at Peter after a 4 year layoff? Don't give me the WBA champ emirates bull, he didn't deserve it but he got it.

Agreed... Mercer was another example of a great AM champ that did not have a great PB career.
