I didn't get to see the Tubbs fight (2nd round KO), did he just get caught with a perfect shot?
He did and there was no way he was getting up.
He was kicking Rahman's ass from pillar to post in the first three rounds and then as was his nature, he gassed.

Vitali, Al Cole, and Rahman have all gone on record saying he had insane power and Vitali said his biggest mistake with him was trading with him because Sanders loved trading. Vit was surprised by the power of his right hand and his fast hands. Rahman basically said he had never been hit that hard in his life as Al Cole did (Sanders was the first one to stop Cole and did it in less than a round. (Maybe Rahman revised that statement after that brutal Lewis 1-2). He also ko'ed Audley Harrison conquerir Michael Sprott in 1 and brutalized Bert Cooper (who back then was still good).

He was so inactive fighting once a year for a 7 year stretch and they were all early ko's.

The funny thing is the guy never really liked boxing. Go figure.

Yeah, I hadn't heard that...never liked boxing? Awfully good at it, for not being a fan of the sport.

One of the other things I particularly appreciated about Sanders, was his intuitive counterpunching. He was good enough at reading his opponent that his counterpunches seemed like they were completely natural, not forced at all like some. One of his better attributets. Sure wish I could turn back the clock about 15 years and become his trainer/manager. We'd have a fun ride, Corrie and me, yes we would. And I'd enjoy the **** out of sparring with a guy like that.

I say Ike Ibeabuchi. David Tua was somewhat of a let down. Ironic in that they put on a tremendous fight together.

Sanders had good natural talent but he had awful stamina probably due to training on the golf course and his technique was not up to much either he had great speed and power but he really needed proper training his chin wasnt the best either. Sanders is the only guy i have seen really hurt Vitali, but imo Ike was a better fighter.

I think Grant, his chin let him down.
I couldnt comment on Ike as i have never seen one of his fights

Ibeabuchi was a beast, I was very impressed by the performances I've seen.

Ike, for sure. We all thought that he was almost an unstoppable monster given time. He had the height and power to have a shot against anyone.

                    1. he didn't lose to ike. he was robbed.

                    2. byrd was a bad , bad matchup....... should have skipped it even though it was an ibf eliminator. besides by the time he lost to lennox tua was already past his best. (too fat)

tua partially dislocated his shoulder and had bruised ribs from training camp. they asked to reschedule the fight but lennox seeing the opportunity of actually beating the great tuaman threatened tua that if he don't fight he won't get another chance. tua the warrior he is went on with the fight even though he could barely punch because of the partially dislocated left shoulder. he also had a difficult time breathing because of the bruised , some say broken , ribs. tua was a brave warrior. no doubt in my mind a healthy david tua would've koed lennox lewis.
