Biggest Waste of Heavyweight Talent of The Last 20 Years...

Guys who for one reason or another couldn't pull it together mentally or physically to reach their immense potential as fighters...

    1. Ike Ibeabuchi (imprisonment and mental instability)

    2. Oliver Mccall (mental instability and well... crack!)

    3. Michael Grant (china chin, perhaps was rushed into a championship fight to soon)

    4. Golota (huge mental problems, can anyone say Golota-Bowe I and II?!?)

    5. David Tua (never seemed to hone his skills in the ring to advance his arsenal past just being a contender with devestating punching power.

    6. Tye Fields (because its fuc.king funny!)

    7. James Toney (doesn't do the neccessary roadwork/strength training to get his body in great shape. Imagine how good he would have been if he was in excellent condition with his skills!)

    8. Dominick Guinn (was touted as the next great heavyweight until he lost a bunch of stinkers, including getting dominated by Toney)

    9. Tommy Gun Morrison (never could get it done on the grand stage. What a left hook though)

    10. Other. Please Explain

With the exception of Ike, we got to see the total package of those other guys careers. Their beginings, mid form and as they wind down or have retired. So we have a pretty good gauge on their respective speeds. But with Ibeabuchi, we never got to see what was next. His 20 fight career showed he could outslug a tremendous puncher (Tua) and KO Chris Byrd, who was harder to hit clean than a fly. He had power, stamina, an incredible work rate and had good focus. The sky was the limit, or so we thought. Who will ever know now? He's a modern day Tony Ayala in that his best years are blank.
    So I vote for Ike.

Ike or Golota. Honestly don't know much about Ibeabuchi except clips from the Tua and Byrd fights.

      Chose Golota.

I haven't seen much from Ike, so I'm gonna go ahead and play my cards safe and say Andrew Golota.

I shouldn't have hit "reply" so soon...anyway, we can only speculate how Ike would have done in a title fight...we know what Golota did 2 TIMES against Bowe, and then how he couldn't get it done vs. Byrd, Ruiz, Brewster (though to be fair I scored the Byrd fight for him)

Tua just had wrong management and promoting, how does a guy that stays in the top 10 for decade get only one titles shot and at the top 10 ATG heavyweight in Lewis.
He KO'd Ruiz in a round and Ruiz has had a billion title shots, he KO's Moorer and Rahman both got various shots at the title he stops Maskaev who got a title recently and only had one shot his entire career?

Ibeabuchi for me, I think he would have done better than Golota did against Lewis.

He won't fight anyone anymore. His "comeback fights" I purchased on PPVs and they were against club level fighters. If Tua wanted to fight top guys, surely he'd find a way at this point, especially in the diluted heavyweight division.

I think Tua is missing motivation for taking on Top 10 guys in the division right now, there's no other explanation....he's even fought on cards WITH other major names, and he can't get a fight with any of them? And not taking his promoters to court, etc.?

I actually agree with this piece of **** for once.

Where is Bowe? He would have to be ranked up there.
