He was never the same calibre of fighter as Lewis and never will be.
How many times do I have to {correctly} write, that there was NOTHING the matter with Klitschko's EYE....it was his EYEBROW, and it had been closed and controlled since rd 4.

Yes, I think he overdoes the Lewis bit, and I can't figure out what's behind his continuous harping on dragging this senior citizen out of retirement-even though hurried- since Lewis wouldn't even be able to put up and sort of a fight, and is likely thanking his l;ucky astar that he was able to gwet out with pots of money, without fighting that ominous return.

It shows how deeply the offense of the fight having been stopped unneccessarily when Klitschko was on the very verge of beating Lewis down to a KO. It really seems to be an obsession, and, to my mind , not healthy. He should get over it, or, if not keep it to himself and immediate family.

I dont' think the eye itself was in danger either, but there are muscles and nerves that run through the eyebrow that can be damaged if they don't have something over them to protect them (skin, flesh, fatty tissues). It wouldn't do him any good to have a perfectly functioning eye, if the muscles, tendend and nerves that control it are ruined.

I agree with the stoppage, and credit Lewis with a win, fair and square, but I also agree that, had there been no cut, Vitali most likely would've stopped Lewis within a few more rounds. This is purely conjecture, but that was the impression I got from the preceeding rounds.

I guess Gomez and Haye will have to KO Wlad first to motivate Vitali not sayin' that either guy would accomplish a KO over Wlad, but it's a strong possibility considering the thin beard that has labeled him.

Lewis won't leave retirement now, he's too fat.

Vitali should beat Valuev (which would be easy) and the Klit bros would have ALL the belts

Hes definitely not getting Lewis, so he can give that one up. Lewis is out of shape, has not fought in about 5 years and seems satisfied with his commentating. He should unify with Valuev.

In Vit's defence, he has been calling for a rematch every since the first fight ended. Lewis knew he was in trouble if he did it again and retired. That being said, Vitali needs to move on and find another form of motivation and get back on the road against another threat.

We don't always agree, but that was an outstanding assessment of the circumstances around the fight. I agree wholeheartedly.

I also assume it's not only the stoppage that's upsetting him, he chose to fight the wrong fight. He once said that he should have fought more tactically. On the other hand, we'd be robbed of a great battle, if he did that.
