He is taking an even higher risk, lower reward fight later this year with Deandre Latimore.

Is Latimore the same guy who beat Sechew Powell? If yes, that would put Foreman in line for a title shot, or no?

Good luck to Yuri - one of the nicest gentlemen in the sport today.

This is going to be a good one. Perez is a little shopworn but I suspect he'll be extremely motivated for this one. And Kirkland has some serious flaws. I'm just hoping Perez lasts long enough to make it interesting and perhaps show us a bit more about Kirkland.
I actually think Perez can beat kirkland.. Hes fought big power punchers like: Dvaid lopez, Zertuche, and Margarito twice.. and has never been KO'd. I think kirkland has shown a bad chin in his previous fights but perez is not much of a puncher... It should be Interesting.

Not yet, here is an article that talks about how Golden Boy is interested in signing Gamboa:

Makes sense that they would. I mean, all the big names on Golden Boy are old and will be retiring very soon. They need stars for the future.

I was pretty sure Angulo was fighting on that undercard, If HBO is going to show the Kirkland fight that is very good news.

Yeah, I think that's why they made this fight. Perez is good enough to test Kirkland but he doesn't have the power (even though he dropped Margarito) to KO him and that, ultimately, will be the difference. If he can't stop Kirkland, it'll be awfully hard for him to beat him. But you never know. Clever matchmaking by Golden Boy though...clever.
