Christ, Pavlik nearly got KO'd by Taylor. Hopkins put Calzaghe to the canvas, and Calzaghe has an amazing chin.

I don't know why this is such an unrealistic prediction, it's perfectly feasible.

I wouldn't be suprised is Hopkins puts Kelly to the canvas in the fight.

Remember Kelly is moving up a lot of weight...will he carry the speed and power? remember this is Bernard Hopkins were talking about...he makes any fighter look bad and is the master of making you fight his fight.

Taylor is possibly a harder puncher than Hopkins at this point, and Hopkins didn't hurt Calzaghe, Calzaghe was off balance then got pushed by Hopkins as he was coming forward.

Joe was pretty stunned, you could tell by his expression when he got up from it and he looked embarrassed. It was a similar knockdown in his fight with Oscar. He leans into his punches and catches you when you are not expecting. He shocked Joe, because he came in like he was going to clinch and threw the right hand. Of course he wasn't hurt as far as about to be stopped, but he was stunned and thats the punch that opened the cut on his nose.

Stunned, possibly but it wasn't enough to cause the knockdown, the push put him down.

The push did put Calzaghe down.

but Calzaghe came into that fight so overconfident. He thought Hopkins was **** at this point. He was shocked.

I've never seen Calzaghe more relaxed coming into the ring, he had no fear whatsoever. He needs it, he looked arse.

I have a bad feeling about this fight. Pavlik's one punch really is his right hand, and Team Hopkins are geniuses about neutralizing one punches. (Tarver's left, Tito's hook)

Even if they can I can't see Hopkins having enough left in the bank to put a young gun like Pavlik away and I think he'll have too. Pavlik will be the guy fighting, Hopkins will be looking for Pavlik too make too many mistakes to win. Kind of like the Calzaghe fight.

Pavlik UD, with Hopkins successess littered throughout the contest imo.

i can see where fulcrum is coming rom ut fulcrum id be willing to bet you all my points that pavlik doesn't get knocked out, hopkins will counter him and counter him sharply and accurately. if taylor can KD pavlik with an accumulation of punches that weren't really accurate then hopkins does have a chance as well. Hopkins doesn;t have taylors power but what he does have is better accuracy and he knows what punches to throw when you're opponentsin trouble.

he will hurt pavlik he may even put him down but KO him - no i just cant see that happening. pavlik has too big a heart and too sturdy a chin to b KO'ed by hopkins.

as for the fight the deciding factor in the fight will be the later rounds 8-12. i can't see the rounds see-sawing i think whoever is in control of the fight at rounds 8/9 will take the rest of the rounds as well. in every one of his fights hopkins has taken these rounds - tarver, wright, tito and he had a case for that in the tayor fight as well.

personally i think pavlik and his trainer aren't smart enough they think they can tire hopkins by fighting at a high pace well it doesn't alwsy work like that getting hopkins into that pace is hard enough and joe had to use all his nous and expertise to do it.

Hopkins will win by SD, he may take a rounds or two off and pavliks agressions might win him some points with the judges but like i said he will hurt and possibly drop pavlik once, and bernard is just too smart and pavlik is tailor made for him.

Doesn't matter if he truly hurt Hopkins, Calzaghe has a better chin than Pavlik period. Taylor rocked Pavlik's world in the first fight and Taylor never came close to hurting Hopkins.
Hopkins somehow manages to knock alot of guys down and almost out who have allegedly strong chins. He knocked both Tarver and Calzaghe down and both haven't been down or out in ages if EVER.

In this fight watch for Hopkins to brutally KNOCKOUT Pavlik.
