Mckinney is a good fighter, I feel bad for jones though he had so much potential to be alot better then he was.

Yes he did. But thinking back, i think he had a similar conditioning problem like David Reid. Im still shocked how he was able to last 12 rounds with Barrera.

BTW, I like the prefight presser of the mckinney-barrera fight. Mckinney was saying " He cannot beat, he cannot whoop me in my hometown" then barrera whoop him with a sick right.

McKinney was in many great wars, took a lot of punishment but always went out on his shield. Reminds me in a lot of ways of Kevin Kelley, another one of my all-time favorites.
                Very informative..
                Thanks for these posts..

Ya damn right bout Kelly, see my SIG bro.

Thats my doode.. Very under rated. Another one of those boxers with a great resume who was under the radar..

He was also an '88 Olympic Gold Medalist.

What a great team, Carbajal, Jones Jr, McKinney, Mercer, Bowe.

Andrew Maynard did not do much as a pro, but he won a Gold Medal.

Lennox Lewis won Gold for Canada I believe.
