I wouldn't question stoppages if the fighters themselves do not.

I don't think Taylor had any problem with it, he was done.

cant believe there were idiots saying Smoger was racist because he didnt give Taylor a count. this the same Smoger who got criticized for NOT stopping the Miranda fight early enough. these are the same posters who agreed with Floyd saying HBO was racist. idiots.

Smoger could have counted to 100 and he still wouldn't have been in a condition to fight.

I still think this fight was stopped too early, the referee should've given Machen a 20 count since he was partly out of the ring.

Had the ref not jumped in when he did, Taylor might have eaten a few more power shots before he went down which would have been bad.

Taylor never argued that he should have gotten a full count either so that tells you something. He knows he got knocked out cold.
Well he never got up becuase the fight was waved off when he was on his way down.
I am not saying that he would have gotten up, or would have been in shape to continue had he been able to rise, but he should have been given the chance to.

Taylor may not have been out cold but he was heavily dazed. He couldn't defend himself and looked like he didn't know where he was or what happened to him. Good stoppage.

Maybe true, but he should have at least given him the opportunity.

                  Opposite way around for me.

When I first saw it I thought Taylor should have been allowed to try to get up, when I rewatched it I realised it was a good stoppage.

no. taylor was slumped in the corner and remained there for almost a minute after it was called.

i wonder if the people who thought this was a quick stoppage thought that roy jones- glen johnson was a quick stoppage, or tua-ruiz...

any fight steve smoger refs is not going to be a quick stoppage, period.
