170 pounds is a fine weight for Pavlik. He said that he wants to move up and Jack Loew said that he wanted it to be at 160 only because that he wanted Hopkins to be drained. Who is taking advantage of who now?

Jones is past it, but yet he is still fighting the #3 p4p fighter in the world. Tarver made Hopkins move up 15 pounds insted of 10 to fight him.
I didnt jump on ANY bandwagon.. I'll ask again.. WHO did Kessler beat to be regarded so high? And is he fighting anyone of note right now? And 170lbs is not a fine weight for Pavlik. Hopkins was never drained at 160, He's fought at that weight for more then 10 years. And Jones is fighting Calzaghe because Calzaghe is not a natural 175lber and poses no threat to jones china chin. Tarver didnt make Hopkins do anything, Hopkins wanted to go to Light Heavyweight to fight Tarver for the belt.

Kessler was a favorite to beat Calzaghe among a lot of people. Kessler beat Andrade, Mundine, Beyer, Lucas, Siaca. They are all solid wins, especially Andrade who is beast and Kessler beat the piss out of him.

You never asked me **** you ****, but since you apperently did I'll answer.

        Kessler has beaten:
-Librado Andrade, a top super middleweight and Kessler battered him in an impressive performance
-Markus Beyer, WBC champ who Kessler destroyed in 3 rounds
-Anthony Mundine, eh he's still decent even though I hate him
-Manny Siaca, WBA champ who has a win over Mundine

His resume isn't that great, but he's overrated and underrated on here. He's overrated in the sense of him being a great fighter. He's not because he can't adapt. But he is underrated because he's a very good boxer who has good power and very good at what he does.

Oh and if you reply "Those are just a bunch of euro bums" you don't know **** about boxing.

Roy Jones is fighting Calzaghe because Calzaghe = $$$$ that's why.

You don't think "Hey let's make this a catchweight of 170" never came up during negotiations? I'm sure Tarver said "I can't make that", which he can't, but Hopkins is willing to come down to face the names and the bigger threats.

Hopkins has fought in his last six fights:
          -Kelly Pavlik
          -Joe Calzaghe
          -Winky Wright
          -Antonio Tarver
          -Jermain Taylor
          -Jermain Taylor

Who faces better competiton then that in there last six fights? No one.

Nicely stated. Tarver actually exceeded my expectations in the Dawson fight. He gave a respectable account of himself for a 39 y/o.

You can keep saying that until you turn blue, but people who follow boxing closely know better.

Tarver has always been overrating himself. He himself is his greatest fan, but that only works if you've got the legacy to back it up and not by living off victories over a washed up Roy.

I'll give Tarver props after he apologizes to Roy for hitting lightning in a bottle that sad, sad night oh so long ago.

Tarver should retire, slow, methodical, reflexes pretty much done, absolutely no power after a couple of rounds. One thing that impressed me was his chin, dude was getting caught flush and not even flinching, or maybe dawson is not the ****er some make him out to be?
