    Give Tarver some Props...

I don't like Tarver at all and I'm sure alot of other posters on here don't either but you have to give the man some props and respect for fighting a young, fast, strong lion like Chad Dawson while the other guys his age like Hopkins, Jones, and Calzaghe are setting up Celebrity Boxing matches for themselves. Much props and respect to Antonio Tarver for being a real fighter and a MAN and taking on such a big challenge while the other old men are setting up celebrity sparring matches on PPV and ripping us fans off.

Hopkins is having Kelly Pavlik move UP to 170 which is 10 POUNDS past his best weight. Calzaghe fought Kessler at 168 and Kessler hasnt beat ANYONE. And Jones is way past his best.

Tarver lost but he has been rated in ring magazines top 10 for 526 weeks.

That's over 10 years near the top of the division.

Kessler was very highly regraded at the time. It wasn't until Bhop started going "who is kessler" until you jumped on that bandwagon.

170 pounds is a fine weight for Pavlik. He said that he wants to move up and Jack Loew said that he wanted it to be at 160 only because that he wanted Hopkins to be drained. Who is taking advantage of who now?

Jones is past it, but yet he is still fighting the #3 p4p fighter in the world. Tarver made Hopkins move up 15 pounds insted of 10 to fight him.

yea, but tarver needed that win to get in the HOF. the other guys you mentioned are legends...

nevertheless, tarver impressed me in the fight. he was more competitve than i thought he'd be. he was in shape, motivated, and was never hurt. dawson is just a speciment. he's too fast for human beings to deal with....

Tarver can't fight as good as he talks, but he's a credible fighter.

Kessler still hasn't beaten anyone. The point stands despite what Calzaghe's fans say.

I give props to Tarver. Came to fight, and gave a decent account for himself, against a true rising talent in Dawson.

EXACTLY.. I asked him who Kessler beat and all he could say was "Kessler was highly regarded at the time" hahaha
