Hide had lost only once to Rid**** Bowe, who took longer (six rounds) than Vitali to stop him.

Then Vitali fought Ed Mahone, who's considered a bum today but was highly-regarded and undefeated at the time. Vitali broke him down and he's never been the same since.

And two fights after Hide was stopped by Joseph Chingangu as quickly as Vitali did it.

I would not give too much credit to Vitali for that KO since the punches that ended the fight did not even land solidly. Hide is as chinny as Bruce Seldon.

It was a good win of course but KO'ing Hide doesn't mean that he is the strongest puncher around.

After watching Vitali on saturday, I find it ironic (and hilarious) how you always talk **** about Haye's left hand being too low and having an amateurish style.

The same can be said for Vitali.

Vitali obviously dominated Peter from the opening bell but let's be honest here, we might be singing a different tune if Peter was 5 inches taller. Now, I'm not trying to take anything away from Vitali (it's not his fault he's huge) but the truth is the truth.

He was moving into it, didn't see it coming, and it twisted his head sideways, like a right cross would've...I've seen KO's from lesser punches. And remember the size of the guy throwing it.

The stoppage was in question, but he didn't have anything to beat Klitchko with anyway, so it probably didn't matter much.

I thought Hide was competitive in the first round but folded as soon as he felt Vitali's power.

I really don't see how that jab could've put anyone down legitimately though and I've seen many jab knockdowns/KO's.

i dont know i watched that fight live on tv and i remember how glazed over Hide's eyes were when he tried to unsuccessfully get up he looked like he had been starched TBH

i thought he wanted to quit against Bowe and that is why he kept going down i think he broke down mentally and just wanted outta there
