The fact is that Vitali was easily winning the fight with Byrd, until he injured himself. Although it goes into the record books as a Byrd win, it had nothing to do with anything Byrd had done.
Liston was stopped against Ali when he retired in his corner claiming a shoulder injury at the end of round 6.

i know offically he lost but technically no man has ever beaten vitali
is he unbeatable..i dont think any heavyweight today can hurt the guy hes tough as nails
Herol Graham was ahead on the cards, then Julian Jackson took his head off.

Francois Botha was ahead on the cards, then Tyson knocked him out.

Meldrick Taylor was ahead on the cards, then he got knocked out.

Vitali Klitschko was ahead on the cards (something like 56-54), then he got stopped by Lewis.

I don't see why people make excuses about that night, if a guy's face is falling off, he loses by TKO. Like everyone else I was touched by Klitschko's desire to continue but he got stopped fair and square and you have to give Lewis credit for pulling the win out on his worst night as a professional.

Manchine is racist against Europeans, everyone knows Finland is the land of the Yank. And Lewis, a British fighter, is not European.

Some people throw around the word illogical in the funniest ways, huh?

          Good post.

Another example, Ricky Hatton was ahead, then Mayweather took him out.

Haha, I dunno about the Ricky Hatton being ahead part but maybe Setanta showed a different fight.

Having your face taken off constitutes a technical knockout. And it's not like the fight was going Klitschko's way at the time of the stoppage, he lost the 6th round very clearly when the fight was stopped.
