There will be no "percieved" great fighters left in Britain if Joe Calzaghe loses.

And yeah, we just keep trying to steal foreign fighters, actually worked pretty well in the past.
Just think if Vic can miracously pull of the win against Mijares, you will all be set down there.

He needs to get a matchup with Pacman. He is getting to the point where he needs to think about himself and lineup a couple of huge money fights, because I think he's on the tail end of his career. Unless Floyd Sr. magically turns him into a boxer.

I'm sure there'll be someone else sometime in the future, just because Calzaghe retires doesn't mean Britain won't produce another great fighter somewhere down the line.

I don't hate Vic but I am certainly not a fan. I just don't like his attitude, esp after than Donaire fight. That short of **** annoys me a little. He is up against Mijares who happens to be one of my favourites, so I hope he gets destroyed.

way to dodge the other two you twat, plus we are just better, more athletic nation than you. Sorry that Britain produced superior offspring. You can live vicariously through us.

And on a sidenote, yes Silencers, I have thought about the propensity of Britain producing a p4p fighter in the next years, and through proven scientific method, I put the odds at a coinflip.

I wouldnt really say there is a nationalisit following of fighters in America. I mean just look at Floyd vs Haton, no one in America really gave a **** about it being a fight between fighters from two nations, even if the fight was sold like. There is toooo much diversity in America, for the whole nation to follow one single fighter.

                    .
Lampley called Pavlik , "the centrepiece of American boxing".

                    Oh dear.

Being a huge fan of VIC, i agree with you about his attitude. I would prefer if he toned it down a bit, but I guess its his way of making noise. I like Mijares a lot, but I hope Vic cann pull of a miracle to shake things up a bit. Funny thing: I was on some Australian site (though google, I cant even remeber how I got there) where everyone was convinced that Vic was easily going to beat Mijares. I tought to myself that he must have some hardocre fans if they feel like he is the favoirte going in against CM.
