I'm not sure if anything was released officially but Abraham was having weight problems thats why that Marquez fight was postponed, he has lotta muscle on him. And doesn't make sense for Pavlik to go back down since everyone else that matters is higher unless you wanna see him fight Sturm.

There is definitely more risk than reward in a rematch with Johnson.
I don't know why I had it in my head that he fought Adamakm over there, but that was my train of thought. didn't Ice say something about a fight in Germany that ended up being scrapped? Im wrong, but I would've sworn Dawson fought overseas before. No way Erdei come to the US to lose his title without a huge money garuantee, and Dawson just can't provide that yet.

        the winner of jones/cal
pavlik wouldnt stand a chance against chad.. he's one dimensional.. his best opposition was jermain taylor, who isnt a bad fighter, but pav wasnt even dominant in his two fights against taylor.

He fought in England before his fight with Harding but that's a different thing, Germany has a bad reputation for fighters traveling there and fighting German fighters.

Dawson against Calzaghe would be my dream fight, two skilled southpaws with all of the angles included and the craftiness as well. I like Dawson by unanimous decision, and I'm so confident that i would bet every single point that i have.

Dawson is a massively bigger threat to Calzaghe than Pavlik is. I can't see how anyone could possibly disagree with that.

Maybe Pavlik sees his future in the 168-175 range? Him vs Dawson would be excellent until Dawson stops him. I'd also like to see Kessler fight him.

i think pavlik should take his ime, im not his biggest fan here but i like him because hes a hungry young fighter with good strength and power and hes humble. personally i do think hes slightly over-rated but thats no fault of his own, the bandwagon that follows him is something that he can't do anything about.

personally i think kelly should have a few fights 168 after the hopkins bout, otherwise the long term effect could be catastrophic of fighting at 160, then 166, then 160 again and then going up to 170!!! yes the guy has a big frame but he should allow hisbody to gro into a SMW and win the belts there. its not as though the division i lacking in names - taylor, lacey, froch, jean pascal, bute, kessler and maybe even abraham will move up.

dawson will stilll be around in 3/4 years so theres no rush.

personally i favour kelly to walk through him and KO him late in the fight.

im with you Slick i can only see a Dawson win and i think it would be a clear win for Dawson i think Calzaghe would struggle massively with Dawson hand speed and angles and just general Boxing skills

Dawson-Calzaghe would be a fight to get excited about. Although if Joe wins next month, Pavlik will probably be next.
