What do you think contributed MORE to the KO. The actual punch that Floyd landed, or him going headfirst into the ringpost following the punch?
Which contributed more to Hatton's KO. The punch or the ringpost?

Hatton's one dimensional gameplan. He was becoming easier and easier to hit, he couldn't cope with Floyd's movement and walked straight onto a very well timed punch. The ring post had little if anything to do with it.Comment

I think you have to ask yourself, would Hatton had been in as bad of shape had he not gone headfirst into the ringpost after the punch. The punch that Floyd through was not intended to KO Hatton. It was more of a glancing blow that he threw, while trying to get out of the way.Comment

He was being systematically taken apart by Mayweather by then. He looked desperate and undisciplined. I think it would have happened sooner or later, post or no post.Comment

the only good shots Mayweather was getting in were the ones immediately after the ref breaking them up because Hatton would jump in
if the ref didn't keep breaking them up for absolutely nothing, Hatton wouldn't have gotten hit half as much and would've been fresh for the later roundsComment

There was nothing glancing about it. It was flush on the jaw.
He was sliding out, because that's what a "check hook" is. You hit the guy with a hook when he's coming forward and slide out.
It takes great timing to do it effectively.Comment
