What's with this 90 days stuff? That hardly seems fair. Anyway, I'd like to see this fight come off. Valuev looked pretty good against Lyakhovich, though I'm told he looked less so against Ruiz. If he works the jab like he did against Serguei, it might be interesting.Comment

wow 2 guys with iron jaw who've 1. never been dropped 2. never been stopped 3. never been hurt 4. yet never faced someone their own damn size (well ok vitali has once or twice but this time it'll be someone literally bigger than him not just 'close to his size')
It's quite an intriguing matchup however I mean come on Valuev as good as he is barely sc****d past guys like 57 year old triple retired Ruiz so I can't see him outboxing Vitali.Comment

It used to be par for the course in Boxing, and Mosley made five defenses at 35 in 98 so it's not unheard of to fight like full time fighters even in the modern era. The reason it doesn't happen is because of sparse TV dates; it's not physical.Comment

Most champs fight two, sometimes three, times per year. Forcing a guy to defend against a mandatory within 90 days is ridiculous. If all of the bodies did this, you would have to fight every 22 days to defend all four titles since the same guy is hardly ever the #1 ranked in more than one division. Plus it seems funny to me to yank a guys title from him for fighting another champion.Comment
