    Naseem Hamed

About Hamed, I mean 4-5 weeks. I actually heard him say that he'd NEVER (he emphasizedit) trained more than 3 weeks for a fight. And didn't even take THAT seriously.

Of course with only one belt back then, and only 7 divisions, the champs were much more respected. I look to see Vitali vacate and fight Valuev anyway.
A big difference between Big Jim's return and Klitschko's. Jefferies was nearly killed by Johnson, wheras the opposite occurred with Klitschko. There have been many returns after even longer than 4 years, what about George Foreman's 10 year hiatus. Ray Leonard.
A big piont I've made elsewhere in this thread is that Klitschko wasn't really ouyt of action for 4 years, you should come across it, a letter or two above this. Other than when he was actually recuperating from his injury, and his lelection activities in Ukraine, he's been in training for some fight or other.

I was at the Pound for Pound gym with Dwight and Travis when Travis hit Vitali with a body shot that dropped him.. twisting his knee in the process. Travis was whupping his ass all sparring. But please do explain his "legitimate injury" as you call it. Do you box? I dont remember seeing you there.

You seem to show a bias against Vitaly Klitschko...Maybe not, but that's the way it seems.. And of course, you backed Peter to win and he was shame and exposed......

            Just my opinion.

Of course your riding Arreola's and Vitali's nuts... probably DLH's too?
You probably think Arreola is actually good? You probably think Vitali's performance against Peter is one for the ages? **** riders who have never boxed only watch boxing but dont know boxing.

I can't see who'd beat him. He's a superb boxer, and should have been a Heavyweight Champ long ago, except for his ******* embroglio, and his strange early brehaviour. He has all the tools. I've seen him a few times, and he's first class, although, because of his disdain for his oponent, he just drops his hands and takes far too many head shots.

Remember, he was KO'd in the 1st rd by an unknown.

LOL...no bias at all. Picking against a fighter isn't bias and I'm happy to be wrong when a guy gives an effort like Vitali did last night. My comment on the 'emeritus' bit had to do with how ****** sanctioning bodies are. This is the same WBC that forced Tszyu-Chavez with similar logic years ago. Vitali used the sanc mob plotics to his advanatge to secure this shot (which he didn't need really; Peter didn't have a better payday) so if the same politics bite him with this supposed short window who should feel bad?

That said, I don't expect to see him stripped or see Klit-Gomez in 90 days...but if a gun was held to his head on it, there is no reason to think he couldn't be ready. Ali, Holmes, Tyson and others regularly fought with similar windows as champion.

And Gomez's first round loss wasn't to an unknown...it was a known journeyman named yanqui Diaz that was as head scratching an upset as I've ever seen.

*** yeah! My most wanted fight of the heavyweight division! Vitali wont need a yellow pages to stand on in order to lump one on the giants chin.
