In order to gain respect, you must earn it. if Mikkel Kessler was American half of us would laugh at him. So the next time you tell somebody "Oh, you're just biased" ask yourself, where are YOU from?

Actually, I wasn't dissing Kessler. I was pointing out that Americans often diss their fighters pretty bad (Jermain Taylor) and ride them for not being impressive. That's why I said half of us would laugh at him.

Americans do heavily critique their own fighters as well as jockride others. There are nationalistic American fans- of course. They are from everywhere though. It's pretty rare to see anyone who though Joe Mesi was going to be a great. Jermain Taylor is another great example. He got ****ted on so often it was amazing. Floyd Mayweather Jr. anyone? What about Roy Jones Jr? Same thing.

It's not a nationalistic thing, although I suspect there may be some Americans who are like that (highly doubtful given how pathetic we look to the rest of the world thanks to the past 8 years), it's just a fighter thing.

So if we criticize Kessler's resume, the chances of it being because he's from Denmark are pretty slim. And to even think that might be why exposes one's OWN bias.

Really? this is a Fascinating accusation. Where have I hyped Dawson? On this thread? Find the post. Actually find my Dawson cheerleading anywhere. I'd like to be enlightened here.

I just want to know what makes Kessler's resume so great from Joe's fans other than Joe beat him. Andrade? Mundine? Okay. Yeah they are better than Tarver. Gotcha.

PWill WAS the most hyped fighter on here for about two weeks exactly. At least 50 percent of that was in direct response to Margarito trolls who had been overhyping him for THREE years on here and bashing every other fighter on here.
