  • Samuel Peter should walk around with his head under his own skirt in shame...

that was just embarrasing man... can a fighter be more cowardly than that?

wowww... no real boxing fan should ever take that guy serious again and watch another one of his fights.

he flew half way across the world to defend his title against a guy comin out of a 4 year retirement... and the best he could do was sit on his stool and wave his head.

sorry im ranting.. but thats just ****ing pathetic.

    HERES TO YOU SAMMY

    I disagree.

Look at Jeff Lacy. He shouldn't have been allowed to continue after round 9-10. It was the same story here. Peter took a systematic beating. He didn't win a single round. He didnt land a single meaningful punch.

Now he retired in his corner and he was spared a certain prolonged beating. He 'll fight another day.

Lacy on the other hand, lost a lot in future earnings by hanging in there with Joe Calzaghe.

Lacy was getting his ass whooped three times worse by Calzaghe, but Lacy being the champion that he was continued and didn't give up. Point is, when you are a champion and your getting outclass at least show the heart of a champion.

this was not NEARLY the beating Lacy was gettin from Calzaghe...

plus, I still have much much more respect for Lacy for hangin in there with Calzaghe than I do for Sam sittin on his stool...

        how can you even compare?

Lacy lost everything cuz he was undefeated and supposedly THE NEXT COMING...

Sam is just Sam.. who needs to go in and go in hardddd into every fight.

The Vitali/Peter beating was even worse

Vitali is one of the hardest punchers in the world and he was completely dominating and pummeling Peter.

I wouldn't call Peter a coward.....I'd like to see the posters on this forum get in the ring with the 6'7 250 lb monster Vitali Klitschko...the posters on here would either get knocked out or quit after getting smashed in the face by the 1ST iron fist punch from Vitali

Lacy will never reach the level he had pre Calzaghe. Calzaghe (and injury) destroyed him.

In light of that I understand Peter's decision. Peter was being beaten badly and it would just get worse and worse. He had no chance at all.

Sam is just Sam.. who needs to go in and go in hardddd into every fight.

As a heavyweight, Sam was getting hit with some shots that would have dropped 95% of the other heavy's. But he was eating shots and still trying to come forward. Vitali was just too tall and had a good game plan to keep Sam at bay.

I guess he could have stuck around for the other 4 rounds but for what? Or he could have said **** it and go for broke and just try charging him and throw everything, but that's how you get yourself hurt....bad.

So Sam goes back to the drawing board and attempts to piece himself back together.

He was trying. He just didn't have the tools OR the know-how to do it. Move on.

easyyyyy there buddy... no Vitali is not exactly the monster you are tryin to portray him as...

as much credit as Vitali deserves for this fight...

Sammy boy deserves the same amount of DIScredit on the opposite end.

How can you compare pre-Calzaghe Jeff Lacy to pre-Vitali Sam Peter? Jeff Lacy was a fucking monster while Sam Peter looked like a bum against Oleg Maskaev.
