Your getting the **** beat out of you and you know your down 8 rounds with no chance to win and you know in the back of your head what has happened to boxers in the past from taking a sustained beating. It's not worth it and there's no shame it what he did. On the other hand I know there's a certain respect for someone who's willing to put their life on the line for the win but there's no need to look down on someone who wishes to keep their health.
he could have very well kept his health in a decision man...

there have been beatings ten times worse... why are we makin these fights so much more vicious than they are?? just cuz they are more one sided... so what, he knew what he was in against didn't he??

I didnt choose for him to fight Klitchko, he did, so let him man up to it more... or at least if he is gonna stay on his ****in stool... not be so happy and gracious in defeat at the end when he spoke so big of beatin fools up and bein a big real champ... thats coward to me man.

Vanes, could you say those things to Peter's face. (regardless or not if he got physical with you?)

        thats kinda ******...

im sayin it here hopin he reads it and knows how some fans see him...

        - he was never shook up, didnt have a busted eye or lip, didnt seem like he was dead tired...

yet, he gladly stayed on his stool, shook his head... his corner wasnt even really involved in the decision i dont think, other than lettin him know the obvious, that he was behind on the cards

then at the end he looks so happy in defeat, i mean at least ACT like you are pissed for comin up so short. wow.

I'm sure Sam Peter isn't at home tonight happy as hell that the fight is over with. He took a shellacking and no shot in winning......or even doing anything remotely good because Vitaly was fighting perfectly.

He went 8 rounds (looked very flat) but was trying. The jab was tagging him and the hook/right hands weren't that far behind.

If you can call a man a coward after he got his ass beat then you should be able to call him a coward in person. What more do you want? People get discouraged and getting a fist in the face speeds up the process.

wasnt so clear to me.. not sure what you were watching.

he wasnt shook up, as in close to gettin dropped, or havin wobbly legs... although his eyes were swollen, they werent cut or anything, and no he didnt seem all that tired, otherwise he would have tried to hang on to Klitchko more..

ya but i got the feeling like he didnt care for **** man, is that the kind of Champion he is??

cuz i had seen him talk real big about doin this n that, and knockin people out, didnt expect him to stay on a stool that way and even smile about it.

as a supposed Champion, he is/was a coward... as a person, i obviously dont know him...

I dont want to stick up for him like that because even I was like wow I cant belive he actually quit, but at the same time when a fights that one sided, I dont see the point in watching it unfold the same way for 3-4 more rounds what ever it was.

After round 5 I was just waiting for Vitali to knock him out. It settled into the repetiveness that I hate in a fight.

In comparison, Tsurkan was actually landing punches on Angulo. Peter landed maybe 3 clean punches all fight. A total onesided beat down. When you cant even get inside the jab and land a punch, it's a lonely place. Peter seemed overwhelmed after the first couple minutes.

oh no doubt... the Tsurkan fight was just fine to go on.. im tellin you Lampley made a farrr bigger meal of that for Angulo than it really was.

I was ringside... and not a single person seemed all that concerned for Tsurkans health.. not even his own guys and corner.. they were pushin him on for a valiant effort.
