Did you check the punchstats? Vitali's workrate was exceptionally high for this fight.

peter is toosmall...1 dimensional.. and old

He's almost 10 years younger, and outweighed Vitali by nearly 10 pounds.

As for a competetive matchup, I agree, the fight was more competetive, but was Dawson's performance better than that of Vitali's? Not hardly. You're obviously very biased here...why bother posting at all?

both guys looked to be on point tonight.....Vitali did what a fighter with such enormous height and reach advantages supposed to do, dominate from the outside keepin' his opponent on the end of big shots......Chad out worked the older, slower Tarver for 36 minutes and thats what he was supposed to do! Props to both Chad and Vitali.....2 true champions!

I was more impressed with Dawson because Dawson and Tarver were more evenly matched (physically). Although I was impressed with Vitali's CLEAR DOMINATION over Peter, it's pretty obvious he had such an easy time because of the sheer difference in height and reach. Vitali kept him at bay all night and kept unloading, I don't think we would be singing the same tune if Peter was the same height as Vitali.

Vitali (reach 80") is only 3" longer than Peter (reach 77"), that's not a lot. Sam weighed more than Vitali, 253 to 247.

Lennox Lewis (reach 84") had a 13" reach advantage over Tyson (reach 71") and 14" advantage over Tua (reach 70")!

Height can be an advantage if you know how to use it, but usually taller men are less mobile. Remember Sam Peter KOed 7'0" Julius Long and Monte Barrett KOed 6'8" Tye Fields, both in round 1.

Tyson, Tua and Marciano were at a height and reach disadvantage with virtually all their opponents, yet they KOed most of those taller men.

And yes, Vitali is a great fighter.
