First things first their Dirk, your boy still has Roy Jones Jr. in front of him. Before you go picking fights, like you love to do, you better make sure your boy takes care of his business first.
Well he's done it in 3 of his last 5 fights at least so....

I think Jones is a much more tricky fight for Calzaghe so Im not making any bold predictions. You seem to have taken Hopkins lightly. Pavlik wouldnt and shouldnt be next in line. Thats my point. It should be Chad.

Why would I want Calzaghe to retire?

Not likely. He's done if he loses to RJ, and if he wins he'll face Pavlik and cash out.

I do take Hopkins semi lightly. Hopkins would rather do enough so HE feels he didn't LOSE. Pavlik does all HE can to make sure he WINS. That, IMO, is the difference and why I made that statement. Pavlik IS next in line for JC. That is my point. You think JC thinks about legacy and heart and fighting who the fans want to see? Even his own fans? Pavlik, when he beats Hopkins and IF Roy doesn't beat his ass, is next in line for JC should he not retire. While I made no mistake I feel Kelly should unify with AA first and his career will be fine without JC's name on it, I think all the media lies and dillusional statements, earned him that top spot. Dawson, no. He SHOULD be the one JC would look at but are you kidding me? No money, naturally bigger, stronger, >/=speed, younger, etc. etc. - - -what makes you think JC would take that fight? <---- THAT'S been my question this whole time.

Didnt he just fight Kessler? Just cos he chose Jones over the hypocrite doesnt mean we should forget his entire career.

Im just saying what i think he should do. No doubt the casuals will demand Pavlik before Chad but hey-ho

Casuals lol. Ok, I'm done. Superb way of avoiding my questions. Pavlik, like Dawson, presents a powerfull reminder of the path JC DIDN'T go down and I would never see him taking on the likes of Pavlik OR Dawson. JC isn't about boxing at this point, he's about money. Some say he deserves it or has "earned" it so to each his own. The point still stands, Joe Calzaghe WILL NOT nor WOULD NOT call out a Chad Dawson in his next fight should he not retire.

The bottom line is Joe calzaghes's resume is f.ucking awful and every objective boxing fan knows it. British boxing is awful(I like Hatton) it has been ever since Lennox retired. As much **** as you talk about pav atleast the guy throws straight punches instead of looping hooks and laughable forearm slaps. The guy publicly declares how valuable his "undefeated" record is to him. Hhhhhhmmmmmmm........what is the best way to keep and undefeated record intact? Awful.

He's gonna need everything he has to get past Roy, as in the Hop fight, and we can discuss this should he not retire and call out a threat to his "throne."

Damn it, I clicked the wrong option. Calzaghe would fight Satan before he fought Dawson. Dawson looked too damn good tonight. If Calzaghe won't even fight Pavlik at middleweight, there's no way in hell he'd fight an up and coming Dawson at light heavy (which Calzaghe can't hang at because he's not a true light heavyweight).
