Would Sam Peter have been knocked out in the 9th round if he didn't quit in the 8th?

I think he would have, and even though Sam Peter was a rude son of a ***** and called Vitali a bum before this fight. I felt sad for him when he quit in the 8th round, first time I watched the fight on justin tv on a live stream and the quality is alot less then watching it on a big screen tv. Just watch this fight on showtime, and I saw that this guy was completely exhausted after the 8th round and it wasn't a shock when he quit to me now. Plus, the justin tv stream went out in the 8th round... I think Vitali would have knocked Sam out in the 9th round if peter hadn't quit though.

....I just saw the 8th round on Showtime as the link I was watching crapped out at the end of the 7th. Peter was hurt badly in the 8th and IMO and he was definitely going to get knocked out in the 9th. He was one or two clean shots from going night night.

It felt that way, but we will never know.

I think if there was no open scoring BULL****, then he wouldn't have quit at all.

Well... that's also impossible to prove or disprove

He would have been KO'd had he continued. Nothing and I mean nothing happened right for Peter today. It's a real testiment to how strong Vitali really is. In a way, I have also achieved vindication.

I don't think so but I think he would have gotten knocked out eventually if Klitschko decided to go for it.

not sure if he'd have been stopped at all. But he wasn't in the fight and was never going to be so just gave up, Vit was too much for him to handle.

Vitali looked like he was just taking his own good time punishing him for all the smack Peter talked leading up to the fight. He might have loaded up and went for it in the 9th though if Peter didn't quit.

I don't think he would have been ko'd in the 9th had he come out for the that round.More than likely he would have just kept taking a beating cuz I don't think that he would have turned it around with a single punch cuz of Vitali's very solid chin.It is possible that Vitali could have stopped him on his feet in the next round or two but there is no way of knowing that.
