Seriously though, this is an easy fight for Hatton. Paulie can dance around all he wants. He's getting beaten up. Period.
Don't be too sure of that, Malignaggi, for all his recent performances, is still a very good boxer when he gets things right.

He can't punch. Only time Hatton's looked bad is when he's been hurt, and Paul can't do that.

Mr. 5 KO's beat a bulldog like Hatton? Ain't happening.

He's the better boxer though, if he puts in the kind of performance he did against N'dou in their first fight, Hatton would be in a very tough fight.

I don't think he is the better boxer. Honestly I don't. Some people will disagree with that but Ricky can be a smart mover when he wants to be. His early fights attest to this. He's a better all-round package than Malignaggi because he has power. Possibly not as much power as Cotto, but he hits more often. I give Paulie no chance at all of winning this one.

I hope it doesn't seem like I'm dissing Paulie. I quite like the guy, actually. He certainly earned my respect after the Cotto fight, but man he was brutalized in that one. I see this going pretty much the same way.

I disagree with that, Hatton can box but he isn't a boxer, never really has been, he's always been a guy who used his movement to get inside and **** away at his opponents' body and head while taking steps to the side and changing angles, he's never been an outside boxer who would outjab and outmove his opponents, although he showed some of that against Urango and Tackie but those guys are definitely not as good as Malignaggi at boxing, if Hatton decides to try to stay on the outside and try to outbox Malignaggi, he'd lose, he has shorter arms, he has very poor defense on the outside, although that could change with Mayweather Sr. in his corner now, and he seems to have lost a step or two making him possibly a little slower than Malignaggi in the handspeed department, outboxing Malignaggi is not the way to go against Malignaggi, he needs to get on the inside and smother him like he does very well.

I agree with you, and I do believe he will smother Malignaggi. I still think Hatton is an all-round better package than Paulie despite possessing less of the silky-smooth moves.

Malignaggi will be running around the ring again. Hatton will catch up though and beat the crap out of him.

I think he'll be able to get inside on Malignaggi as well, that's why I'm picking him to win, he's a much better inside fighter.

Malignaggi has never really been a runner though, he'd pop off a combo and then take a step to the side and do the same thing again, won't really be too hard for Hatton to find.
And before people bring up what Forbes did to DLH, remember, Forbes is accustomed to fighting bigger guys, I think he was fighting middleweights or super middleweights on The Contender so he knows how to make life difficult for the bigger guys.
I agree with all of this. Personaly I can't stand the forbes analogy. People seem to forget that he lost every round.
