I'm actually kinda rooting for Hatton. Floyd Sr, while a good trainer only seems to have been a huge influence in his sons career. While he did teach DLH to stand up straight and be the "bigger, taller man" as Oscar likes to say, it really still hasn't done ALL the much for him. I mean we all know he's going to KO Manny, but that's because he's so much stronger. Hatton has short arms so all he's really been good at is bull rushing, getting in closer and wearing opponents down physically over the course of the fight. It'll be interesting to see what, if any changes Floyd Sr brings to Ricky's style.

I think if Paulie stays on his feet, keeeps the fight in the middle of the ring and off the ropes....he'll win. Mayweather isn't really changing Hattons style, he's adding new tricks to it. I think Hatton will lose on nutrition. If Paulie can work a jab, pot shot, and hit him in th e body. Hatton Liqour filled pub eating body will leak.I expect Beautiful Boxing from Paulie.

Paulie fans you're all f.ucking deluded.
There's only 1 winner of this fight...and that's Hatton. Think about it. Prior to Mayweather fight Paulie wouldn't have got a sniff of a fight with Hatton, and many people on here even laughed it off.

This thread is going to get bumped.

So Paul Malignaggi is going to beat Hatton on body shots?

Also "if he keeps the fight in the middle of the ring and stays of the ropes"? How much chance do you think he has of achieving this?

Im not sure even a great trainer can do much for you in such a small space of time. Its not like Hatton is in classroom and just has to listen to his teacher talk and learn new stuff.

It takes years of repetion and training to implement ideas until they are sec0nd nature without having to think. PBF trained with Mayweather senior all his life and only had a little edge over Hatton. So its not as if Senior can perform miracles.
But i hope Hatton has improved under him.

It did cost him the fight against Mayweather. Sad thing was against Lazacano he got caught with that same punch and was dazed. I thought he was going to get knocked out in the same round, same fashion as the Mayweather fight. Agreed with Silencers. They jump in hook with the right hand down has got to go. The check hook right now is Hatton's kryptonite.
